For whom the bell rings...

There's no place like home. There's no other place in this unforgiving world where i'd rather be during my times of uncertainty. As if everything slows down and becomes clearer when i feel the warm embrace of being home.

All my troubles seem to vanish and my batteries get recharged every second i spend in my island home. The rays of the sun, the coolness of the waters and salt of the sea breeze erase all the negativity that has accumulated in me. The home cooking of my "lola" reflinishes all the needs of my tired body. The familiar places bring back great memories of a wonderful childhood.

This belltower or "kampanaryo" is located at the back of our house. We used to play in the grassy area in between the St. Vincent church and this tower. This was also the spot where my inner circle of friends (5 of us-all male), use to hang-out at night during our high school days. I believe i even brought girls here at night to "talk".

Those were the days.

Innocence... Bliss... Optimism...

It's good to be home.
